By following these pre-tanning, post-tanning, and maintenance guidelines, you can achieve and maintain a longer-lasting, even tan.

Pre-Tanning indications

1. Hair Removal:
  • Waxing should be done 2 days before tanning to avoid any residue that could block tanner absorption.
  • Shave the night before if you prefer.
2. Exfoliation:
  • Use a non-oil based, gritty scrub or exfoliant to remove dead skin cells.
  • This helps ensure an even application of the tan.
3. Skin Condition:
  • Do not apply any lotion, makeup, deodorant, sunscreen, or oil on your skin on the day of your appointment, even if applied earlier.
4. Clothing:
  • Bring loose-fitting clothes (e.g., scrubby clothes) to wear home after your appointment.
  • Avoid tight clothing like leggings or skinny jeans.
5. Attire:
  • Bring your bikini or preferred undergarments for how you want the tanning to appear.

Post-Tanning indications

1. Avoiding Water/Sweating:
    Refrain from bathing or sweating for 8-12 hours after tanning.
2. Product Avoidance:
    Do not apply perfume, lotions, or creams for 8 hours after tanning. Deodorant and makeup can be applied immediately after tanning.
3. Development of Color:
    The tan will darken over the first 8 hours post-tanning, which is normal.
4. Hand Care:
    Wash hands after tanning to prevent staining from the process.
5. Bathing Instructions:
    You can bathe for 8 hours after tanning. Excess color may wash off initially, but the tan should remain even.
6. Resuming Activities:
    Normal daily activities can be resumed 8 hours after tanning.
7. Clothing Care:
    If clothing gets stained by the tanning product, wash it the same day with laundry detergent.

MANTAINING AND PROLONGING YOUR TAN

1. Showering After Tanning:
    Wait at least 8 hours (preferably until the next day) before showering. Some initial color may wash off during the first shower, which is normal.
2. Moisturizing:
    Apply moisturizer after showering and daily thereafter to help prolong the tan.
3. Avoiding Harsh Conditions:
    Avoid long, hot baths or showers as they can fade the tan faster.
4. Chlorine Exposure:
    Chlorine from pools or jacuzzis can also cause the tan to fade more quickly.
